About Muhaimein

Work

My area of expertise and professional interests are focused around LEADERSHIP, STRATEGY, CONFLICT RESOLUTION and COMMUNICATIONS. I consider myself fortunate that my work interests and life interests intersect in a fulfilling way. As a professional, I have about two decades of experience leading people in designing and developing solutions to a diversity of open-ended problems. I have received The Frontier Award for Ingenuity and Innovation from DHS on two occasions. The first half of my professional career, I served at DHS. Currently, I lead people at a major US corporation.

Personal Life

Outside of work, I spend most of my time and energy with my wondrous children and lovely wife.

My ongoing volunteer work include performing clergy duties for a non-profit in Northern Virginia that serves over 50,000 people. I run an adult education program, coach children for Loudoun Soccer, and organize community building events for ADAMS Center.

My hobbies include hiking, bicycling, motorcycling, sports, and photography. I have been training with heavy clubs and kettlebells for over three years. I have a keen interest in martial arts and have reached candidate Black Belt level in HapKiDo.

I enjoy the study of people, history, culture, customs, religions, language and rhetorics. I can converse in at least five languages. An avid listener of audiobooks, I normally listen to stories and non-fiction audiobooks when I go hiking or biking, or while I am on an adventure- backpacking across Europe or Africa or driving across states in the US.

An at home barista, I am all about Espresso!
